The OptiStep OST-K is a metal scissor attic ladder designed for safe and space-efficient access to the attic. Its folding mechanism allows the ladder to retract compactly above the ceiling, making it ideal for areas with limited clearance.
If the ceiling joists are smaller than 2x8, installing the ladder with installation brackets will require increasing the rough opening thickness to at least 6-5/16 inches.
